Why CloseBot Was the Innovation Leader… And Still Is
Many tools, including HighLevel’s AI Employee, only allow OpenAI (ChatGPT) when building AI Agents. This is because OpenAI built something called AI Assistant about a year ago that made it easier for developers to integrate AI that references information from uploaded files. However, this also meant that applications who used this couldn’t also integrate with alternatives (like another favorite of ours, Anthropic). When you’re locked into a single option, you and the businesses you support are in trouble when that system experiences downtime or lacks specific functionality. No bot responses = unhappy businesses.
You’ll likely see other platforms work toward supporting other models like CloseBot has, but it’s a difficult task for them to backtrack. Because of this hurdle, it may take considerable time before you see them catch up.
How CloseBot V1 Uploads Work
Currently, you’re able to upload resources (PDFs, Word files, scraped sites, etc.) and attach these resources to bots. Bots with these resources attached can reference these items when appropriate to give a response with relevant information. It’s incredibly powerful to allow your bots to reference uploads using both Anthropic and OpenAI. V1 allows you to do this no problem!
How CloseBot V2 Uploads Work for your AI Agency
CloseBot has built the V2 knowledge base in a way that will allow you to easily scale your AI Agency. We reduce your work in fulfillment so you can spend more time selling your SaaS and less time uploading documents for businesses. Similar to V1, V2 will have a page you can access to see all of your uploads. One key difference is that uploads are linked to *sources, not bots.
*source – a source is a place where messages are coming from. For example, a HighLevel sub-account is a source.
By uploading resources linked to specific sources instead of individual bots, you can use a single bot to connect with unlimited businesses within the same niche. Each of these businesses can upload their own resources for the bot to utilize. Yes, that’s right, AI Agency customers can upload their own resources.
Source Portal and Agency Portal
You will be able to grant access to users to make edits to their source‘s uploads. They will be able to upload items here and make lightweight edits to any bot you’ve made for them. When they upload a resource, you’ll see it within your Agency Knowledge library section. You’ll be able to make edits to their resources on their behalf if necessary here as well.
Here we see an example of a business owner making their own knowledge upload item within CloseBot. In addition to uploading things like Word docs and PDFs, users can type into our text editor to save notes into the knowledge base.
Editing Existing Uploads
Finally you’ll be able to make edits to existing uploads. Currently if you want to make edits to an existing upload, you have to delete it from the bot, change the file and re-upload it. This takes time. V2 allows edits so you will be able to easily modify existing files and changes will take effect with no additional work.
AI Agency Web Scraping
Web scraping will undergo significant improvements. Not only will you be able to scrape a site map, you’ll also be able to have the site re-scraped on a recurring basis if site changes are found. This way, the AI knowledge base stays updated automatically!
