CloseBot V2 Objectives Uncovered – AI Agents with Objectives

CloseBot V2 has been in the womb for a very long 19 months, but it will soon make its debut.  When CloseBot V1 was first introduced to the world in November 2022, the ecosystem around AI was much different.  The primary models available were infants in capability compared to what we have now… and they cost a tremendous amount relative to costs today.  Furthermore, when we started building CloseBot, we were still new to the ecosystem of Marketing Agencies ourselves.

Now, marketing agencies are our ideal customer and AI has started settling into some notable trends.  One of those trends is the use of a term that CloseBot coined back in 2023 called objectives.  You’ve likely seen other AI Agent builders start to roll out their versions of objectives, claiming that they are the same as our objectives.  This is like saying a Lamborghini and a Prius are fast because they’re both cars.  They both operate entirely differently (and one is much more likely to win a race 😂).

Without Objectives – How AI Agents Pick What to Say

We go into great detail about how chatbots work in this article here.  It’s important to remember that there isn’t anything more happening under the covers than AI looking at your instructions (prompt) and guessing what to say next.  Given the full set of instructions, we hope that the AI Agent will spit out helpful information.  In the early days, almost all bots were as simple as this graphic.  A message came in, it was fed to the AI with some prompting, and it gave a response.

AI Agents With Objectives – How is this Different?

In the example above, we see a relatively simple bot.  It will likely give accurate answers and follow instructions most of the time.  It’s important to note that in this scenario, the AI instructions remain constant.  Even after the bot receives the contact’s name, for example, the prompt is still mentioning that the bot is supposed to get the contact’s name.  This becomes an issue as your prompt becomes longer or as the conversation goes on for a longer period of time.

Take a look at how an AI Agent operating on objectives might change the prompting dynamically as the conversation progresses.  This keeps the AI instructions much shorter as it’s only fed information that’s relevant to what it’s working on.

Although CloseBot is not the only one to do this, it has proven metrics that shows it is the most accurate.  Other systems may not include relevant information for an active objective at the right time, they may have issues that cause them to leave out information that’s needed at that time, etc.  At the time of writing, CloseBot is conversationally completing an average of 200,000 objectives per week.  We have the data and the practice that makes us reliable!

Objective Flows for V1 vs. V2

You can see how changing the instruction to the AI might keep the AI on task.  Just like preparing a kid for school, they get overwhelmed when you tell them a long list of things to do and they end up messing up!  Let’s take a look at a simple objective flow within V1 and compare it to what will be possible with V2.

V1 Objective Flow

The objectives for V1 are linear.  This means that the bot will always get name, then email then buyer or seller in the example below.  It will not vary from that and there’s no way to branch off into a different direction of qualifying the lead depending on whether they are a buyer or seller (for example).

V2 Objective Flow

CloseBot V2 gives AI Agents with objectives superpowers.  In this example, CloseBot gives the AI Agent the ability to request and update a contact’s name and email at the same time.  Only after it has that information would it continue to find out whether that person is a buyer or seller.  Then depending on how the contact responds (buyer or seller), the AI will continue down one of the two different paths of objectives for further qualification.

You see how this kind of flow would be nearly impossible to convey to a bot with words alone.  It would be nearly impossible to convey something like this to a human without giving them a diagram like this!

Summary

Many who have found AI impossible to control with other platforms like HighLevel’s AI Employee have found success with CloseBot.  Watch out for CloseBot’s V2 release at the end of Q1 2025!  Upon release, there will be many more types of objectives that weren’t mentioned in this blog.  Stay ahead of the rest and establish your AI Agency with CloseBot 💪  Our reviews speak for themselves!
